Could a lifeguard be replaced by robots?

Frankly, I have been keen on robots since my childhood. When I was 6 years old my parents bought me my first toy robot which I didn't want to leave for a minute. Lately, I used to read all the stories about robots available in our family library again and again for many times; „Robbie“ by Asimov was, of course, my favorite one.

Now I collect with passion radio-controlled models of cars, trains, helicopters, etc. The only thing that I regret is why my microwave or washing machine still do not talk to me:)

That is why this original idea to use some of these models for the such noble goals as saving people aroused in me a storm of positive emotions. I would like to support the following sentence: „Meet the Emily — the robot lifeguard!“, although it still depends on the human lifeguard, how fast the robot can reach the drowning man…

Well, at least, such a lifeguard won't fall asleep)

Emily is great, I appreciate the idea a lot and hope that no short circuit will ever occur.
