We all know about built-in car computers, autonomous cars and of course many of us have standard fully mechanical human driven vehicles. Humanity dreams of safer life and better ecology, trying to find new fuels and new security decisions. And one of the latter is being brought to life.
Two people at the MIT Robotic Mobility Group (Sterling Anderson and Karl Lagnemma) have created a semi-autonomous driving system which provides the driver the full control of the vehicle until the car gets to close to another object. It constantly updates its data about the situation and is said to make driving about 70% safer.
I like the way they did it!
