Computers are quite good at guessing sketches

Day by day we can observe how computers are getting more sophisticated and feature-packed...moreover, they have already learned to recognize rough sketches.

A new computer program, developed by researchers from Brown University and the Technical University of Berlin, can identify rough sketches of objects almost as people. The researchers say, it's the first computer application designed for „semantic understanding“ of abstract sketches, that can improve search applications and sketch-based interfaces.

That's wonderful! It is a true artificial intelligence!

Recognition algorithms usually are gesture-based, appearance-based, geometry-based, or a combination thereof.
There comes a time when machines will recognize every human movement, every breath we take, and even every thought that comes into our heads…

It is really fun. I think the most interesting results come with the first line. I might even forget what picture I was going to create while reading the guesses of the program. This is awesome.

Nice! I'd like to try to draw something incomprehensible and see what the clever program suggest.
