I want to share with you a link to the website of the creative steampunk workshop. I was very impressed with the pieces of art that they make! It is not just the world of things from the 19th — 20th centuries; the steampunk means a sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery. The spirit of the style has its origins in the works of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and Mary Shelley.
Nowadays this is a fast growing subculture, which refers to any artistic style: the elements of the steampunk can be found in the many things around us, such as furniture, clothing, architecture, music, as well as in films. Just a remarkable example: the BBC series Doctor Who incorporates steampunk elements in the design of the Doctor's time machine.
Here is also a video that reveals some secrets of turning an ordinary monitor and a unattractive keyboard into a masterpiece. I would say the result looks similar to the real antiques!
Would you like to have more things stylized as antique items at your home?
